Between 1958-1969 two photographers shared one camera and took over 3,000 photographs of Philadelphia and the artists who lived there. Many of these painters, poets, printers, architects and musicians become names of note—Louis Kahn, David Lynch, Jack Fisk, Stephen Berg, James Havard, Elizabeth Osborne, C.K. Williams among others. These photographs capture a distinct moment in the history of art in the United States, and this publication tells the story of that time.
