The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County is the 1865 short story that launched Mark Twain's career and made him a national sensation. A French translation of this story was published by Thérèse Bentzon in 1872, and in 1903, Twain back-translated the story into English, word for word, retaining the French grammatical structure and syntax. He then published all three versions in 1903 under the title "The Jumping Frog: in English, then in French, and then Clawed Back into a Civilized Language Once More by Patient, Unremunerated Toil" This is that version.

Mark Twain's classic in English, French and English again.
